Greenville County Parks, Recreation, and Tourism owns and operates several parks in our area. Check out their website for more information about county parks and recreational programs.
Slater Hall Community Center
Historic Slater Hall Community Building: Vintage Gym (non-standard size), stage, two classroom/activity rooms.
Annex Building: Center Office, Community Room, and a classroom/activity room
9 hole disc golf course
Active Adult Program- A program for older adults to be active, social, and engaged. Meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:30am to 12:30pm.
After School Program- A program for families providing a safe place for elementary school aged children (K5-5th grade) to grow, play, and learn outside of the school day. Pick-up available from Heritage and Slater-Marietta Elementary Schools. Program follows Greenville County School District Calendar and operates from school dismissal to 6:00pm (Program operates 7:30am to 6:00pm on select school holidays).
Summer Camp Program- When school is out, the fun is in at Slater Hall Community Center. Water parks and other field trips, games, arts & crafts, music, sports, and more! Operates Monday-Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm.
Jimi Turner Park
Named in memory of Slater-Marietta's own local superhero "Captain Corn." Jimi Turner is remembered as a leading member of the community and for his numerous charitable efforts for the children of the community.
2 youth baseball/softball fields
Historic mill town ballpark. Name in honor of a former manager at Slater MIll. Home to the former Slater Mill textile league teams and the former Slater-Marietta High School baseball and football teams.
Pleasant Ridge County Park
Pleasant Ridge Camp and Retreat Center- Home to Camp Spearhead, a specialized residential camp for individuals with disabilities. The Camp and Retreat Center is also available for corporate retreats and other private functions.
