The SMCA volunteers meets once a quarter to clean up litter around the communities of Slater and Marietta.

Blessing Box
The SMCA installed a Community Blessing Box in the parking lot of Slater Baptist Church located on Whitney St. Slater.
The box will provide non-perishable food items for residents facing homelessness and families in need.
Donations are always needed. Donated items needed include canned goods with pop tops, peanut butter, canned meats, crackers, instant breakfast items, water, and ready to serve meals.

Slater - Marietta Community Welcome Sign
The SMCA Board of Directors is working to create a more low maintenance and drought tolerant landscape around the Welcome sign coming into Slater-Marietta from Travelers Rest, S.C. on Hwy 276. (Geer Hwy.)
The purpose of this project is to provide a green and lushous landscape for residents and visitors to enjoy when entering our small community.
Donations and support is needed to help with supplies, equipment, and labor. To learn more about this project, you can attend a community meeting the 2nd Tuesday of each month at Slater Hall Community Building @ 7:00p.m.
Monetary support can be made by clicking the donation tab on our website. Checks can be mailed to SMCA P.O. Box 726 Marietta, S.C. 29661.
