In order to vote, you must be a member of the Slater-Marietta Community Association. Membership is open to all residents and business owners who are U.S. Citizens 18 years of age or older of the Slater-Marietta Fire District or the portions of the 29635 (Cleveland, SC) 29661 (Marietta, SC) ZIP codes outside of the Slater-Marietta Fire District, but within Greenville County.

4.05 Qualifications and Election of Directors
Any member of the Corporation can serve as a Director. Any potential director must submit to a background check to be conducted at the cost of the Corporation. Any criminal activity of a sexual nature or financial misconduct will disqualify a member from serving as a director. Any other Misdemeanors within 5 years of completion of sentence and any other felony charges within 10 years of completion of sentence will disqualify a member from serving as a director. Directors can not be related family members. The Board of Directors shall sole judgment over the determination of relatedness.
Elections to the Board of Directors will occur at the Annual Meeting (or Emergency Meeting, as called) of the Members of the Slater-Marietta Community Association. Election will be by secret ballot.
